Camkix Lens Kit Review Video
I recently purchased a new set of lenses for my Samsung S8 phone. I tried them out and wanted to share my Camkix Lens Kit Review…
Honestly, I was a little disappointed with them. The zoom quality of the 8x telephoto lens is decent enough. There is a 12x version, and I wonder if that wouldn’t have been a better choice for me. The issue here is that I often film by hand and not with a tripod, so more zoom means much more shake / movement.
But, my issue is not with the how well it the telephoto lens zooms. No, that I am happy with. What bothered me most when I was working on this Camkix lens kit review, was the level of blurriness / fuzziness that appeared around the edges of my photos when I used the lenses.
The edge issues are most prominent when using the telephoto and wide angle lenses.
The lens kit comes with the following lenses:
- 8x Telephoto Lens
- Wide Angle Lens
- Macro Lens
- Fish Eye Lens
The lens kit also comes with the following:
- 8x Phone Case
- 8x Plus Case
- Polishing Clothes (great for getting rid of those fingerprints!)
- Carrying Case
- Tripod with Mobile Phone Clamp
You need to use the cases provided when attempting to use the kit, because the lenses themselves screw into the case itself. So, you are unable to use your own case when using this kit – you’ll need to swap it off.
It’s actually a pretty complete kit, which is what makes this an acceptable product for us. Our Camkix lens kit review score: 3.5 / 5 – because you have to consider price (less than $40!), value, quality, and performance. As long as you understand what you’ll get, this isn’t a terrible buy.
Here are some shots we took with the lenses.
